I am a state licensed psychotherapist. After completing a Master's of Social Work at Yeshiva University I did postgraduate training at TIMH and the Ackerman Institute for the Family, as well as extensive specialized training in the area of infertility. I also have a Master's degree in nutrition from Columbia University.
Becoming a therapist seemed a natural professional path. As a child of holocaust survivors, I was acutely aware from a young age of human suffering and amazed by the resilience of those who found happiness, meaning, and success despite their pasts. As I got older, I developed an insatiable curiosity about human behavior and what motivates people. Before this profession, I had fulfilling careers as a teacher and then a hospital nutritionist. It is my nature to be a "helper" and I thought I could have the greatest impact as a therapist. After almost 20 years in practice, I still feel privileged to engage in such meaningful work.
